How does hiring a SatPhone work?
Here at Remote Site Technologies, we keep the whole process very simple.
Step 1: Select the best phone for you. We have a helpful guide HERE if you are unsure or alternatively please contact one of our helpful staff.
Step 2: Please complete our hire enquiry form HERE. Our team will ensure you have the right product for your use, we will than arrange a hire agreement to be sent out. At the same time, they will also request a government issues photo ID. This is needed due to telecommunication laws around hiring or signing up to a plan.
Step 3: Once your hire agreement has been digitally signed and a copy of your ID returned, our team will pre-test your satellite phone and get it in the mail to you ASAP.
Step 4: When you receive the phone, you will also receive instructions on how to use the phone. Please go outside and make a test call, you are welcome to call our customer care team. This is a free call and you will not be charged for the test call. You will also receive a return satchel allowing you to mail back the phone.
Step 5: Once your hire period is complete, please send back the phone with the provided return Australia Post Satchel. Your hire period ends on the day the phone is received by Australia Post.
Step 6: Once your phone is returned and shown to be in good condition, your deposit will be refunded minus any usage. We will send you a full breakdown of usage at the same time. If you have used over the amount of your deposit, a final invoice will be sent at this time.
